Clinical-Grade Human Pancreatic Islets

Beta-Pro provides human pancreatic islets isolated in our GMP facility. These clinical-grade islet preparations are available in varying quantitiesare available in varying quantities in either highly purified (>80% pure) or highly enriched (50-80% pure) fractions. Basic quality assessment data (islet count, purity, and viability) are provided with each shipment. Functional assessments through insulin stimulation index are also available.

Human Pancreatic Islets from Type II Diabetic Donors

Beta-Pro provides human pancreatic islets isolated from type II diabetic donors. As with our clinical-grade islets obtained from normal donors, type II diabetic islets are available in varying quantitiesare available in varying quantities in either highly purified (>80% pure) or highly enriched (50-80% pure) fractions. Basic quality assessment data (islet count, purity, and viability) are provided with each shipment. Functional assessments through insulin stimulation index are also available.

Human Pancreatic Acinar Tissue

For research involving pancreatic exocrine tissue, highly enriched preparations of pancreatic acinar cell clusters are available. These samples are available in varying volumes and are significantly depleted of pancreatic endocrine tissue.

Sections of Human Pancreatic Tissue for Histological Study

Beta-Pro provides samples of human pancreas from non-diabetic or Type II diabetic donors. These morphologically intact samples are available as fixed, frozen, or fresh tissue specimens. Tissues can be provided as biopsied tissue or blocked (paraffin or frozen) tissue.

Islets and tissue are derived from pancreata of multi-organ donors not placed for whole organ transplant.
Beta-Pro LLC does not charge for the tissue of human beings. The fees that Beta-Pro LLC charges are for the
services of organ procurement, processing, preservation, quality control, storage, handling and delivery of tissue and islets.

the collection and use of cells. Strict procedures are in place to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all volunteer donors,
including coding procedures for cells and associated clinical information, so that a donor’s identity is inaccessible to Beta-Pro and researchers.
