 Nate Sarbin
Director of Operations & Research
Nate Sarbin is the director of operations and research for Beta-Pro, where he manages the islet isolation team, conducts functional and QA/QC assays, and packages and dispatches time-critical shipments to researchers worldwide. In addition, Mr. Sarbin manages Beta-Pro's research and development laboratory and develops new products and services, manages projects and personnel, and executes budget forecasting and continuous process improvement.
Mr. Sarbin brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical research and development and information management experience to Beta-Pro's scientific and operational missions. He has extensive biochemical and pharmacological laboratory experience in research and drug discovery with FDA IND milestones and laboratory automation selection.
Mr. Sarbin began his scientific career at A.H. Robins in 1983 as a research associate, following study at the University of Michigan and the University of Nebraska (Omaha). He continued to build upon that experience, joining Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1990, where he held roles of increasing responsibility, including research scientist, principal informatics analyst, and research informatics manager.
